Coming Off Medication -
January 14th 2009, 03:10 PM
Hmmm, Im scared that the doctors will change my meds, Iv been a bit ill recently. But anyway....Id like to come off my meds, not change them, I mean Im on a lot...which I dont even know what they do.
Anyways Im shit scared to speak to the doctor about this, I need some advice on how to cope & coming of meds in general & how to tell if the docs want to change your meds?

I understand that it can be daunting talking to your doctor about this, but you have been so brave and strong in order to get this medication and the help you're receiving. I really think that the best thing that you can do if you want to go about lessening or modifying your medication is to speak to your doctor so that you can work out with them what will be the best thing for your health.

Just tell them how you're feeling, honestly - being open with them and telling the truth is the best thing that you can do. Just make a normal appointment, and explain to them that you feel like lessening your medication would be beneficial to you, they will then be able to give you the guidance as to what would, medically, be the best for you.
