Is it Bulimia or an EDNOS? -

I don't know anymore. People tell me not to label but it's really hard to explain to others. Some try to guess at what it is and that only makes me wonder more.
Basically I go about a week or week and a half, I totally binge this entire time, then the next week or week and a half I starve and restrict. Theres about one or two days between, where I eat normal, because I'm either trying to stop binging then end up starving myself, or try to eat again then end up in the binging part of the cycle.
Resident old person, back from much needed, multiple year hiatus.

I'm going to give you my opinion, because I'm no doctor. I believe it sounds more like EDNOS, thought I could be wrong. The best way to you can know for sure is through a doctor. What you're doing sounds just like what I used to do.

My therapist says not to label it because we are not are eating disorders we are ourselves and suffer from the ed...Anyways I pretty much do exactly what your describing well used to now it's even worse and the way she has me explaining it is I restrict and binge but the diagnoses she gave me is EDNOS.

I understand the not labeling type of thing. My doctor just calls it addiction instead. And thanks to both of you for helping to clear that up.
