I want my anorexia back - July 30th 2017, 07:19 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of eating disorders, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I'm never going to give in to the other side. The eternal fighting isn't fun in the slightest. It would be so much easier just to slowly rot away without the constant battles.

I'm so sorry you feel this way. :/

I'm not gonna lie, I don't really have much advice for you because I'm sure you're aware of the dangers of this. But I do want to reach out and let you know that you're not alone. I understand the struggle of recovery and it is very difficult. Do you have a reason that you want to relapse? Because if so then I recommend trying other hobbies that can give you the same sensation but much safer. You may have tried that or been told to do that already but it works great for me.

Or also, you can find a passion that keeps you motivated because your mind and energy will be focused on attaining this big goal or dream so you have something to "obsess" over instead of food and control. Sorry if that sounded at all rude; I just re read that and I don't want to give the wrong message. Obsess may not be the best word to use.

I hope this helps at all. please feel free to pm me if you ever want to talk; I'm always available.

best wishes,
cheyenne

Hey,

Recovery is so hard and it is a battle. However, when we actively participate in our ED's we are also fighting a battle and a very dangerous battle at that. Letting go of the ED behaviors is really hard and it feels like we have given up our safety net and our control. It's difficult and it is so brave of you for trying.

One thing I would suggest is that you look into getting a counselor. They might be able to help you find coping skills and they will give you someone to talk to about the frustrations regarding leaving your ED behaviors behind. Another thing that you might be able to find in your area is a support group for teens or a support group for people who have ED's. The latter is usually a tad bit harder to find unless you live in a bigger city but I've noticed that teen support groups are usually a tad bit easier to find. Support groups can be great because you can go and talk to people who can relate to your struggles.

Best of luck and if you want to talk feel free to message me.
