Bulimia - April 14th 2013, 02:08 AM

I had problem with bulimia for a few years now and i got better i got better on my own so no outside help, not even my family knew. I relapsed a few months ago. I finally admitted my problem told my close family and am now going to therapy.

The problem is I still have problems with food. I love food but I feel horrible after. Most people tell me to just avoid food but here's the kicker. I'm training to be a chef so i'm around food constantly. My best friends always by my side as she's in my class but I feel asking her for help because she has to deal with her own problem.

I just need ways to deal with all the food around me so I can not just love my food but feel comfortable with food without worrying my family.

I have had a similar feeling towards food before. I mean, why eat if you're not hungry? It just makes me feel sick.
I have made myself sick after eating a couple of times. It is not as nearly as serious as yours though.

Well done for stopping all on your own! I am proud of you! And even more proud that you told people after.

I think that as long as you believe in yourself, and believe that you can do what you love, without relapsing, then you will do it. Even though your friend has problems of her own, i'm sure it would upset her if you did relapse and you didn't tell her? Also, talk to your family again about it, reasure them that you believe in yourself and let them know that thats all they can do.

Keep strong, you can do it!
