Lost my virginity to rape
 

I am new to this site but here goes. I was recently raped on my way home from school. It was crazy and scary. Im just about to turn 16 and he was older. I am not sure how to feel. Kinda feel nothing inside right now :(

Have you told the authorities? Or your parents? Sweetheart, you have to tell someone when something like that happens. I'm terribly sorry that has happened to you, but you have to speak up about it, because that same person is going to do the same thing to another innocent person. If you want to talk we are here. I know that it is a traumatizing experience, but tell your parents, tell the police about what happened.

I'm glad that you did. Just the fact that you told the authorities, is a good first step. You should talk to a counselor, if you feel distraught about it. I don't know how upset or frustrated you are about it, but don't be afraid to talk to a counselor, or a professional if you need to.

yes i have but its kinda hard talkin face to face sometimes. im dealin with it with councelers and now on here i guess

I'm very sorry to hear this has happened ):
I agree that talking to s counsellor will help you to organise your memories, go through your feelings about what happened and help you build yourself back up. As it was fairly recent it's going to be hard to be open about it, when I was first raped I pretended nothing happened for a couple of months before I felt I had to tell someone. If you don't feel like you are ready to say it outloud you can always talk to someone on here and go through what happened and then see if you feel you can talk about it with a counsellor later :) we are all willing to help you get through this sweetie you aren't alone :)

Sadly there are plenty of people on here who can relate. You've done very well so far by talking to the police and talking to a counselor. Something to also work on is finding the ones on here who can relate. The pain of it will never go away but keeping it inside will only make it worse. I hope they catch the guy and I hope you find a way to talk this out whether on here or face to face.
