The feelings of being dirty and impure,
They strike you down to your very core,
The fear of being accused and blamed,
You keep it to yourself, you feel ashamed,
The feeling of being weak, unable to defend,
You withdraw from everyone, including friends,
You feel like everyone looks, you’re completely exposed,
Everyone looks and you think they all know,
That one person has destroyed your life,
They took your confidence and replaced it with lies,
Lies that have poisoned and changed your mind,
Lies that effect you and make you blind,
You no longer see the beauty in the world,
You see the people and want to hurl,
You don’t feel safe, you feel alone,
The persons taken everything you own,
Your confidence, your love, your self-esteem,
It’s all gone now, you no longer see,
Your life is void of light, a very dark place,
You’re stuck there with no way to escape,
Because now you’re a victim of a terrible crime,
A crime that has damaged and changed your mind.

I wrote this about 7 months ago when I was in a pretty dark place and just coming to term with the fact I was raped.

I hope this is okay but I don't know if its any good. Please comment.
