Re-evaluate your goals -
March 14th 2021, 01:27 PM
Goal-setting is a great way of providing direction. It provides structure to our daily lives, gives us the motivation to do things, and helps provide us with a sense of achievement once we've reached our goals. However, sometimes it's important to reflect upon the goals we've set for ourselves, and re-evaluate if the goals we've set for ourselves, are still the ones we aim to achieve.
One of my main goals has been to move out of my current home and into somewhere closer to my workplace. However, due to the UK lockdown, I've had to re-evaluate the way in which I do it. This has meant that I've had to reduce the amount of money I put aside into savings, and move my business online since gyms are closed.
What kind of goals do you have? Upon reflection, do you feel they'll still be the same?
It's quite common to have an outline or a general idea of what we want to achieve, but sometimes it can be difficult to turn our goals into something that is clear and easy to follow. If you're the kind of person who struggles with effective goal-setting Here's an article to help!

My goal is very similar! My goal is to get a mortgage on a house with a couple of my friends, and once I'm in the new house, my goal is to get a dog and two rats as pets. In order to get to that point, I need to find a job which I am happier in and which pays me more for the work I do, which is hard due to covid as there aren't many jobs in the areas I'm interested in. I hope that when I reflect on them later they will be the same as I think they're quite reasonable goals to have at my age.

Work hard at my new school. Be among the best.
Consider a second career, in case my first, Law, becomes too much, my other option was to study to be a meteorologist. Except that means being good at the sciences and I suck at Physics, Chemistry, Ocean Sciences and Maths.
Therefore my third option would be teaching, ie. teaching English and languages of which I already speak German, French, Italian in addition to English.
Eat well, but eat more healthy food. Humph. That would mean giving up tater dauff. Ain't gonna happen. See? Already I have contradicted myself!
Closer to my heart is to be with Ted.

My goal will be different. I still need to work on getting a driver's license but also need to work harder on a well-paying job and surviving on my own because I may be renting the downstairs apartment.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

I think the only thing I really need to focus on is not let my anxiety take control in social situations. I have come so far in the past decade in terms of independence and accountability. It's this nagging anxiety that is stopping me from making the next step forward, to moving on from here and starting a new chapter of my life.
So, my goal is to pretty much do a better job in tense social situations.
