How are you beating Self Harm?
You know, the battle with self harm isn't always about how long you've gone without it for. Sometimes it's about the little victories. I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can share our little accomplishments, like ignoring an urge, successfully using a distraction, recognising and dealing with a trigger, or any other things that have helped.
I'll start. Today I realised I was getting triggered, so I removed myself from the situation and went for a walk instead. Your turn. |
Re: What have you done?
I was going to cut last night but I talked to a friend and he was able to cheer me up. I've been 67 days cut free :)

Re: What have you done?
A really awesome person just gave me another idea.. It's kind of related to the butterfly project. He had me draw a caterpillar, then it going into its cocoon, then it starting to come out of its cocoon, then the most beautiful butterfly I possibly could. It helped.
