I've wanted to cut for the past few days because my pet died. I've resisted because I know he wouldn't have wanted me to hurt myself. He was always so strong, even when he lost his brother. I've got to be strong too. For him. <3
Out of the ashes I'm burning like a fire. You can save your apologies, you're nothing but a liar. I've got shame, I've got scars that I will never show. I'm a survivor in more ways than you know. 'Cause all the pain and the truth, I wear like a battle wound. So ashamed, so confused, I was broken and bruised. Now I'm a warrior.

I love this!!! For started I tried doing it for my boyfriend and failed one time and cut more because I felt like I failed Jim. Then I found the butterfly project. It save me. I drew a butterfly for my boyfriend and for this girl I talked out of suicide. I draw butterflies over my scars now. Also my therapist has been wanting me to write down what I'm feeling when I want to cut. I took this to an extreme and sit down and wrote a letter to my bitch of a best friend telling her how I really felt about how she is but I never sent it. I just did it for me to vent and feel. It really helped. I also think I'm going to start painting again. I'm sure that will help bunches.

So, when I was really struggling with my self harm I would go and sit in a bookstore and read for hours and then after that I would go sit in Starbucks and read for hours. Basically getting out of the house and not having access to my blades was the easiest way for me to avoid self harm. I have now integrated going to Starbucks as a normal part of my routine, it gives me something to do with my time and is a way in which a am able to relieve stress.

I'm getting overdue school work done and other things done on time or early.
I'm making myself proud of myself.
"i don't care your intentions. I just want you to know my self-hatred never took me where I wanted to go. At the end of the day...I can pick at the pain but I can't cut it away."

Lately i have just been listening to music when i have the urge. It helps. Other times i just write.
From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die

I've wanted to cut multiple times today, but I thought about my best friend who has never let me down and was able to prevent myself. Also, a few people stopped me right before I did, without knowing it.

I just picture everyone who cares about me in my head. People who have cared for me, people who I KNOW care for me, and people who I hope care for me. It gives me glimmers of hope. Because, honestly, no one is truly alone.
People tend to care for you more than you know.
Their faces cheer me up. And occasionally I will call one up who will talk me down.

Friends/Family
Self pity will not rescue you.
Sometimes we have to save our own lives,
not because no one else cares, but because no one else can.
Life for you has been less than kind
So take a number, stand in line
We've all been sorry, we've all been hurt
But how we survive is what makes us who we are.
Dreamed up the maps, give me the charcoal and the paper
We invent paths they cannot see, and they're too scared to walk
Only after disaster can we be resurrected. It's only after you've lost everything that you are free to do anything.

Motivating myself because I can't have any more scars than I already do at my party.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

I asked my mother to hide the novel that I had been reading because it had been triggering me. It is a great achievement for me because I was half way through it and it was one of my favourite novels. :balloon:

I like to laugh out loud for no reason and imagine how crazy people would think I was if they saw me laughing all by myself.
And I give my reflection pep talks whenever I think anything negative.
Better to look silly than to self-harm
For me, it's all about seizing those little moments when you can be happy and holding them tight, even though they can be flighty little bastards. That's what makes it worth it.
Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you - you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past. Aliens from the future. The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: The trip of a lifetime!
Don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song that's flawless.

I love Black Veil Brides, they inspire me so much. Knives and Pens.. Andy Biersack says that the song "Knives and Pens" means choose between cutting or writing. I try to write. I always tried to write anyway, so this inspires me not to do it more. But I have broken my 1 month break from self harm, so now I am only a few hours...
