By taking a step back and looking at all the people who love me. Who truly love me. The people who accept me and who love me when I can't love myself. I'm not alone in this fight. It's hard to see that sometimes, but it's true. None of us are ever alone. Sometimes, you've just got to take a step back and take a look around.

I'm beating SH by treating myself to a hair cut and some nail polish. It might seem kinda silly, but I always feel better after I've gotten my hair cut, and nail polish is pretty.

I have now succeeded in painting all my nails including toes. And I put music on and danced randomly around the house. And jumped on my bed. Trying to think of ideas for poems and songs. It takes a lot now. It is fun though. I was too exhausted to do anything afterwards.

Its a fight but I am strong and I know all of you are too, just reward your self, one day, two day, three days, and so on, just make the reward bigger. Its what I am doing and when i reach 18 days I have a trip for myself *school too* for a college tour. I don't know if it will work for you all, but its an idea

I'm beating SH by reminding myself that God has a plan for me, and that plan does not include me doing something harmful to myself. That so long as I place my faith in him, he will deliver me from this sadness, and this addiction. I'll be okay. We will all be okay.

By finding some DIY projects to do with Ava! When I'm down, I love to spend lots of 'Momma/Ava' time with her. I love to look up some 'easy' DIY projects for us to do. I also like to pull out the sewing machine and work on some small one-day projects.

I try to think differently about how people would feel if they found out about my cuts. It's not fun believe me. Someone saw my cuts about a month ago and took all my blades and harmful tools away. Now I haven't cut since.

I'm beating self harm by following my faith, and praying to the Lord for strength and courage to carry on. I know that when I'm feeling down, I always find peace in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
