I am playing the "I'll do it in 5 minutes" game. I've been looking up some stuff I'm curious about and emailing myself those links. Then I'll head home and going home takes an hour so I'm thinking of just having a snack and taking a nap, but we'll see.

I found that it doesn't do what I want yes it might take my mind off the emotional pain for a little but as the physical pain goes away the mental comes back and then I have scars that remind me of why I was hurting in the first place so I found that its easier and better to not do it at all I channel that pain in to weighting and I got to say it works a lot better and if I want I can burn the paper or cut the paper (the pain) and I don't hurt myself but I hurt the pain get it? or if I want to come back to it I can keep it and revisit it as I like or I post it for others to see maybe give them something to relate to and not feel so alone

And never mind. Obviously I need bigger distractions. I used pen for most of it though so I wouldn't actually be hurting myself although there was a few with the blade. So technically its back to 0 days again/

For me, I threw out all of my blades and began to use things like ice cubes and elastic bands whenever I felt the urge to cut.
For me a lot of the reason behind my self harm is anger ( both at other people and at myself) so I have taken up boxing and have a punching bag in garage now so I just head down there and take my anger out on that or maybe go out to the local stables to see if they need help exercising horses or mucking out stalls. A nice gallop over the fields is a great way to clear your head!
