Cutting - March 26th 2012, 09:33 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering by the original poster or by a Moderator. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I've been really depressed these past couple months and I got by just fine with burning myself. Recently though I have been yearning to cut, if my parents found out I would be dead.

I need help. What are some good outlets to prevent myself from cutting? I just wish that I could jump off a cliff and fall forever and see if the air gets rid of it all. I just want to die sometimes and I know I shouldn't but still.

Hey,
I'm sorry you are so depressed. I know what it is like.
Just don't cut, really. I have done it, And i regret every scar i have.
Some people say yea it's part of you and makes you strong. But if you cut you can't walk in t-shirts or go swimming and if you even bruise/break your arm or anything they will know you did it. I had to reject medical help when my arm was bruised because she wanted to see my other arm to compare.

Just trying to give you an impression of what it is like to live with that stuff.
It's definatly not worth it. Things to distract you could be playing games, reading books(if you like it) Or doing some sort of hobby. Or just being with friends.

Sorry if my advice sucks, just doing my best
Good luck!

Hey,

Why don't you look at some of the alternatives on this thread: http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f12-s...ves-self-harm/. Not all of them will work for you, it's all about finding the right ones for you.

Best of luck, and I'm always here if you need me
