how do u handle it when your friends find out and un friend you until you stop cutting yourself

Wow, they don't sound like very reliable friends :/ You deserve so much better than friends who won't be there for you throughout a difficult time in your life. Have you explained to them why you're self-harming? If they still don't understand, try talking to people who do.. There are people who understand. I'm here if you'd like to PM me.

thanks and i have tried telling them why. and every time they cause problems for me it makes me wanna cut even more

Real friends stay with you even when they find out you cut. They help you, they sit with you, they pick up the phone and talk to you, and the they text you all night when you need help. Real friends sometimes tell on you or get frustrated at you BUT THEY NEVER LEAVE YOU.

Try to find support that won't leave you at the first sign of trouble, and stay strong.

im trying to stay strong i really am. i know they want me to stop cutting but its easier said than done. i know i can do better its just hard for me to make friends

Hey there,

The fact that these people have 'un friended' you when things have gotten rough for you suggest that they aren't very good friends at all. You say that you have explained to them why you Self Harm and they make things worse for you, perhaps they don't understand and this is their way of dealing with it. But at the end of the day you need the support and if they aren't willing to give it to you then they aren't worth your time or friendship.
I would suggest talking to someone you trust about this, someone that wouldn't leave when the going gets tough: someone that will support you through.
You CAN do this, stay strong and believe in yourself.

i think i will take you up on that offer sometime. its helpful to me to talk this out with people who wont run at the sight of the topic. im trying to surround my self with those who will stick by me no matter what i have done

I say ditch them. stupid people don't get what its like to go through something like that until they ave actually been through it themselves. wow what assholes. (excuse my language) but seriously how can people be such meannies? message me if you want to talk
