Hey
I am really glad you're going to tell someone about your self harm. Friends can be great people to open up to and be able to talk about this kind of thing to! I really hope more than anything that it goes well for you. You deserve to have the support of a friend there. Let us know how it goes.
I'll be thinking of you.
Jessie.

Hey Gabrielle.
It's natural to be nervous. Telling someone is a really big step - and definitely one in the right direction. I can't really give you any advice, other than be as honest and open as you can. I will, however, wish you the best of luck.
Let us know how it goes!

Hey Gabrielle,
I'm really proud of you that you're going to tell somebody about your self harm, it's always difficult to reach out to somebody whether it's self harm or something completely different so you should be really proud of yourself for taking this step too. It's totally normal to be nervous but my fingers are crossed for you and I hope that everything goes well! You'll have to let us all know how things go for you!
Good luck!

You're not an idiot. You were scared, weren't you? And that's alright. You wanted to, and you were going to, and that is a great step. Maybe next time really will be it. Maybe not. But you're taking steps and that in itself is a great and brave thing to do

Gabrielle.
Not being able to say it doesn't make you an idiot. It makes you nervous, and it makes you human. I'm sure there'll be other opportunities to tell her.
Do you mind me asking what you think it was that prevented you from saying it?
Take care.

Im not really sure what kept me from saying. The bigger part of me dosnt want to stop I dont think. I felt like it wasnt really me there. Like I was watching someone else struggeling to try and bring it up. I don't really know.
I was constantly going back and forth between these states of "I can! no sinch! I'll just say it!" and "No f*cking way. nonononoNO. I am NOT going to say that." and at the end of the night I was still in the second state, and I went home like that :L.
I think I over thought it (as allways) and then I could only think about consiquences of telling her after a while.
Im a little happy because that means I don't have to stop, but then I'm thinking like she deserves to know and I'm lying if I don't tell her? no clue.

our certainly not an idiot telling someone about cutting is extremly hard.
You may feel like you don't want to stop right now but do you know why? Is it because your unsure on how you would cope otherwise?
I know sh can seem to be helping and it is easy to become dependant upon but surely a part of you wants to stop and knows its bad. Maybe you could write your friend a letter? My friend guessed that i cut so luckily i never had to explain that i did but its hard i know from previous expeirences. I wrote my friend a letter when i first started as i wanted help but couldn't say anything to her face. Maybe you could try this?
And your not lying by not saying anything your just hiding it x
xxxxxxx Take care xxxxxxx
