Cutting my wrist.

I'm new at doing this.
Specifficaly my left wrist...The one that lets me draw... The only thing I can do to not kill myself.
I do it every night...I have no friends...I have no life...

Re: Cutting my wrist.

There are other ways of coping that don't involve hurting yourself. And cutting CAN kill you.

Have you thought about going to a therapist? Because cutting is frequently very addicting.

Re: Cutting my wrist.

Yes I have gone to therapists, several infact .
Other people have worse cuts than me and I dont even use a razor...I wish I could...
I heard that yes you can die from cutting yourself and it's addicting but I'm not sure why but it makes me feel pleasure. I dont cut deep anyway.
At the moment I have 5 cuts that are barely through my skin.
It hurts but it makes me feel that I can atleast do something to not kill myself I'm depressed like crazy.
I've tried killing myself but I can never get the guts to do so.

Well then I suggest finding a therapist that works for you.

It doesn't matter how bad the cuts are, it's still really bad for you.

There are other ways to cope with depression without harming yourself.

I want to tell both of you while this might seem harsh it's true. I've gone through more shit than you can truly imagine but you know why I still keep on living? Because I know someone out there in this massive world there is a single living thing which cares, I find those few things and I hold on and share my pain it helps take off the burden. So both of you talk to me.

-Zoe, please talk to me on chat about anything you want. hugs!

honestly guys, not to be rude but what is this, a popularity contest? "ooh, i've got this many cuts", yeah i have more than you." this isn't a game and cuttings not to be taken lightly. its real dangerous, never mind addictive as drugs.

Re: Cutting my wrist.

Im happy I made the first of about 16 cuts so far...
Heheh...
I love blood...
I love long shirts...
I don't care if people notice...
Noone notices anyway...
I know people that do it too...
I already had my wardrobe in a way to cover up cuts...
I draw pleasure from the pain...
I always have a knife with me...Even in school...
I haven't been happier since I made the first cut...
I don't care if I die from cutting to deep...
I wouldn't care...Neither would anyone else...
Heheh...
Im a lost cause...

Re: Cutting my wrist.

If you don't want advice, then why did you post this? To brag about the fact that you cut? As someone who used to cut and still struggles with urges, I think the things you're saying are disgusting, frankly.

I'm not sure why you made this thread just to say how much you love cutting. That's not what this website is for.

If you want to try some alternatives to cutting here is a link to a bunch of different things you can do. Posts bragging about cutting really aren't allowed. My advice after years of cutting and now having gone over a year without a relapse back into addiction is to try everything on this list until you find something that will work for you. It doesn't matter how often or how deep you cut now it ALWAYS escalates into worse and worse self-harm. So stop now before you make it even harder for yourself to stop.

Re: Cutting my wrist.

i dont mean to offend you but tbh as a cutter myself i feel like you are joking about cutting most people who cut dont brag about it in this way or brag about it at all, let alone when posting type 'hhehehe' while talking about cutting unless their joking. and if you do cut and want help how about seeing a counsellor ?

Re: Cutting my wrist.

No one can help you if you don't want help. You need to talk to someone but posting on here about bragging and stuff isn't what it's for. When you want help you should know that people will always be here but bragging about it isn't helping anyone.

Re: Cutting my wrist.

I agree with everyone else. It sounds like you're glorifying self-harm, which is not why TeenHelp exists. We're all here to try and help, but if you act like self-harming is a fun little game, there is no constructive advice we can give you.

So I must ask, why did you post this thread? Do you WANT help? Or do you just want to brag?

Re: Cutting my wrist.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that many of you have chosen to attack this user for what they've said. If this continues, warnings and infractions will be given out as needed.

If you can't extend help, don't post. If you've been someone whose dealt with self harm, you should realize it's a different struggle for anyone and just because someone is struggling in a different manner doesn't mean they aren't worthy of help.

Dear girls, you are deeply scaring me (especially the quotes quoted.) I am genuinely scared you will go about this to try to out-cut each other and one of you may end up in hospital or die. I'm not sure if you really cut, making fun of people who cut, or want to fit into a stereotype - but no matter the cause because either one of those means you need to talk to someone outside of the internet. I suggest you visit the Self Harm Alternatives thread or go see a therapist or talk to your parents or a trusted adult because you don't seem to be listening to anyone on here, all your doing is posting how many injuries you have which is very disturbing because it seems your playing a "how many cuts do you have/I have more cuts than you" game and it's just not healthy.

Take care and be nice to yourselves because you don't deserve the pain you bring to yourselves. Cutting/self-harm is very addictive and you should stop while you're ahead. Go outside and breathe the fresh air, ride a bike, take a ride to the store or a park, take a bath, listen to music - anything to keep you from doing this to yourself. Run/walk, if you can, because it releases the same chemicals self-injury does and it's very effective to lower urges!
