Self Harm - October 15th 2016, 12:40 AM

I know I could post this in the regular forums, but I'm being extremely paranoid and I'm scared someone in my life might google something close to it and come across this forum.

As some of you know, I hit 11 months free of self harm yesterday. I don't remember the last time I hit 11 months. I made it to 10 months before I had a relapse, and before that I hit a year back in 2010 I believe..

Anyways, what I try and do for whenever I hit a milestone I buy a present for myself to treat myself for working so hard as it's always a daily struggle.

I know what I want for my one year when/if I reach it. Court has recently got me interested in Build-A-Bears again. So I think for my one year I will make myself one. I will name it either hope, courage, or something else (ideas?)

However, I'm struggling for my 11 month. present. There is a blanket I want really bad. However, it's a little expensive. It's $35 but with tax it will be around $40. So I think it would cost more then the build a bear.

But when I keep thinking about it, the closest mall that has a build a bear is about an hour away. Also in that mall is a Disney store
We all know that I LOVEEEEEE Disney. So I was thinking instead of just the bear to get something from the Disney store as well.

I'm really stuck on what to do. Can you guys please give me some suggestions so I can figure it out? I need to make 11 months free and 12 months free very special!

Thanks guys!!! <3
Brittany

I think you should get the blanket. Even if it's more expensive than build a bear it doesn't take away from what you have planned for your year. Rewarding yourself is about doing nice things for yourself so one month it could be more expensive as long as you are treating yourself.

I also think that you should buy something from Disney as well. If it's something that would make you happy then go for it.

I think the cost does not really matter.
What matters most is you are treating yourself for a milestone you deserve kindness for.
