Gradually beating self harm -
July 1st 2013, 08:04 PM
As you may know, my nana passed away on new years day this year, and I started self harming as a way of coping. I'm not going to go into detail as I don't want to bore you but I'm gradually stopping self harming, I'm not going to lie its not easy but i'm going to keep going. My advice for anyone trying to stop is don't go it alone, talk to someone.

I am so glad and proud to hear that you are gradually stopping! I know that things will be hard for you sometimes but it seems as if you have a lot of courage and strength, and I bet you can kick self harm to the curb. I look forward to hearing updates.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive
Things worth having aren't easy to get. Although self harm is hard to beat, you're life without it will be a good thing. Keep fighting for happiness. I'm sorry you've been through a tough time but I'm glad you're trying to beat self harm. I'm more than positive that you can do it. Just remember we're always here if you're having a bad day
Keep fighting.

You should be so proud that you've come this far. Quitting self harm is such a hard thing to do, but I know you can do it and it'll be so worth it in the end. Keep fighting.
Hey, Jenny! I'm sorry to hear things were rough and about the death of your nana, but I'm proud of you for doing so well! Stoppimg self-harming is quite tough, but all the hard work will be worth in the end when you eventually stop for good. Take care.

Sorry to hear about your nan. Mine died last year and although I never self-harmed I binge ate to cope with the pain of loss. It's great to hear you're beating self-harm though and I hope you're keep it up! Every day going without is one day added to a new, longer record!
Hey, thanks everyone for replying yeah, its been really tough since my nana died and I'm really isolated from my family so I tend to keep my feelings bottled up most the time really, I should be ok though
