is it considered as cutting ?

I was wondering, if using a knife or a pins to make marks on your arms kind of cat scratches considered as self harming ? The little "wound" can be seen, but doesn't leave scars.
Does it have to bleed to be self harming ?
and also, does it start first by making cat scratches and then it got worse ( bleeding..)
thk u

It is still considered self harm because because your are causing pain to yourself. That's how I started off and I hope that it doesn't get worse for you and that you can overcome it :)

Your welcome and yes I first started with little scratches but as it got worse they got worse they got deeper and I had to move to my thigh so that my family wouldn't see it but I hope that doesn't happen to you.

Any pain you intentionally inflict on your body is considered Self Harm- no matter if it leave marks or if it bleeds. Self harm is serious, and can get out on control really fast. I suggest you get help for this :D

I started out with tiny scratches and it progressed from there. It didn't get horrible but it got worse. The scars aren't worth it. As others have said, inflicting pain to yourself is Self-Harm. It's best to get some help before it gets serious. I hope it goes well for you. :) Hope you feel better.

If you're inflicting pain on yourself on purpose, it's self-harm, no matter how severe or not the wounds are. For me, it started out as small scratches, and got worse, but it doesn't have to be that way for you. Hopefully, you can get out of this before the cuts get deeper, because no one deserves self-inflicted pain.
