International Cat Day! -
August 8th 2021, 03:24 PM
Today is International Cat Day!
I don't have a cat but I often pet sit my neighbour's cat. She's a short haired black and white cat, 13 years old and partially sighted. But she loves to nap outside in the sun and loves being stroked as well
Do you have a cat? Would you like to share any stories or pictures of your cats with us?

I love cats! I don't have one anymore but I did for the first 18 years of my life. I had a black british short hair cat called Tula. I can't find a picture right now but at Christmas we used to put tinsel on here to make her feel involved in the festivities! I'd love to get another cat in the future but since losing my cat I've actually become quite allergic to them. My dream cat would be a Maine Coon though, they're beautiful.

Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

I love cats SO much! I am in so many cat groups on social media, so my life is filled with pictures and videos of cats of all kinds! Seriously pretty much the whole spectrum of cat-dom! My favorite things to see are pictures/videos of cats (usually very young kittens) who have "triangle tails." They are SO cute!
I also have my own cat. He is grey, pretty lean, and shorthaired. He is very sweet and friendly, but is also pretty anxious (like me). I love him to pieces. He's 12 or 13 now so I worry about him getting older, but he is pretty healthy and whatnot, so I am hoping he's around for many more years to come!

My sister and I both have cats. We adopted them at the same time. My sisters cat is black and he went to four different animal shelters and the last one he was at was going to be his last one because he was going to be put down. When my sister saw him, she knew she wanted him before knowing about what he went through. He thinks he's a dog sometimes, because when someone is at the door he is right next to the three dog's seeing who it is.
I have a girl cat, her name is Lily, I love her more than anything in the world. When I saw her in the animal shelter, she was in a little cat hut and I only saw her face and I feel in love with her, I didn't even know what she looked like and I didn't care. I had to have her. She was very sick and tiny, only two pounds. I started carrying her around all of the time. I still do. She sleeps with me at night and has to have her pink unicorn toy with her on the bed, if it's not she will cry and I have to get out of bed to get it for her to stop. I always make sure it's on the bed. I play with both cats everyday. They love lasers and tunnels. When I'm dancing I'll pick her up and dance with her. I couldn't live without her. Both cat's run around the house and play together. I love them so much. My house can get a little crazy at times with all of my animals, it's totally ok.
