Sometimes when I feel frustrated or annoyed at something, a way of helping me get through the situation has often been to pick at my scalp.... which saying it out aloud is pretty nasty...
Some people I've met in the past tend to rock back and forth during stressful interactions. Or others will try and find somewhere quiet to just sit cross-legged and recite something that makes them feel better.
Do you have any self-soothing methods? What sort of things do you do during certain situations?

I pick at my scalp too
I rock when I stand or knee bounce.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive

I pick at my neck, which is weird, but it definitely helps to feel that as a method of distraction.
I also shake my legs, but I don't think that's necessarily self-soothing. I do that when I am anxious.

I have an entire internal monologue going at ALL times
Any time I'm stressed or upset, I'm always self soothing in my head to try and get myself through it, especially if I'm ever leaning more towards unhealthy coping mechanisms.

There's a small bump on my arm that I believe is some foreign material that got trapped under my skin. It's been there for years, and I'd love to have it removed because it really bothers me, but no dermatologist thinks it's worth it. When I feel stressed or anxious I rub my fingers on the opposite hand around it in circles and it's really calming.

I 100% bounce my knee without even noticing, my boyfriend will be like 'you're bouncing your knee again'. I also tend to twirl my hair in my fingers or click a pen, yes I am that annoying person
