How do you keep the truth from parents?

I've either made the worst mistake of my life, or done the best thing ever, but I'd put my money on the first one.
I'm meeting up with my online 'boyfriend' (the inverted commas because I don't class an online relationship as proper).
I promised my mum I wouldn't meet him but I can't stop myself. She always finds out when I lie. She will find out and she will hate me and ban me from talking to him. She'll ban the internet, football and anything but school work and homelife.
My life will be hell.
But meeting him will be the best. He's amazing and the consequences are worth it! Even if I don't think that in my head.
A week on saturday. Proper buzzing, but never been so scared in my life.

You're sure he's safe, aren't you? I mean, he's not going to be a danger to you is he? I'd hate just as much as you parents that you were putting yourself at risk of meeting someone who isn't safe. It's totally understandable they they wouldn't want you meeting him, after all, you can't trust everyone online. I don't think hiding it from them is a good idea though, maybe if you have reason to believe he is safe you can discuss those reasons with your parents?
