So I started uni this year and after having a breakdown extra support was put in place for me. This started with an access plan and during that meeting, it was suggested that I apply for DSA which is a UK support scheme for Disabled Students to get extra equipment. When I got told to apply for this I did not believe I would be able to get anything but turns out I was able to get stuff.
This whole process has been so weird for me from getting a diagnosis to the meds to the access plan and now this, I can't believe it. I never thought I would any get help ever and now I am. Part of me thinks I don't deserve it which I guess is just me dealing with my brain and what it has gone through. It's just so weird being told what I am going through is actually happening and I am not just making up.
All my life I have been told to just get over it and now I am being told that what I am going through is happening and there is support out there for me.

PS This happened before Christmas and hasn't been affected by that stuff.
