Life sometimes wins. Today was an example of that for me.

I woke up and it was like any other day and then it started. First it is the panic then the wanting to cry, and then finally the self-harm urges and it has been hard not to give in to them but so far I have. Today was a day that I thought would be fine, I did not do much so why would I go into full meltdown mode. and writing this I still don't know.

But after today I am dreading the Christmas period. I can already see that it is going to be a living hell. I just hope that I can keep resisting the urges because I don't know if I could stop once I started again and that sucks because I just want to go back to when I was younger and I was happy because life was so much easier then.

I am sorry your day was difficult. I don't know if this works for you but when I am having a bad/difficult day I will try and get to bed early in hopes that the next day will be a bit better. Sometimes sleeping helps me to calm down from the overwhelming emotions and I get a bit of a break.

I know the holiday season is difficult for a lot of people and I hope that it passes quickly enough for you. Maybe you could find something to do that could distract you from the upcoming holiday?
