I am still a new member but I wanted to get some stuff down in a blog, who knows who'll read.
It feels weird being a nobody. All my life I've been someone important, someone recognisable but now I'm worthless and it doesn't appear easy to improve (see below)
I don't find it easy to integrate too well.
What's more it seems like certain threads are designed to attract comments which are little more than stock replies
Perhaps I will be able to help on staff one day, perhaps I am just paranoid or perhaps I came to TH expecting a little more than the school playground

You aren't worthless.
I agree that TH can be like that sometimes, but I also think that if you find real TH friends and have people who you know care about you then the rest of it doesn't really matter. If there's at least a few people that enjoy talking to you then I wouldn't bother worrying about everybody else.Posted June 15th 2010 at 11:17 PM by MadPoet

I agree with the TH stock replies thing ("poor guy" "call the cops on him" "call this hotline" "PM me for help") but you are not worthless ok? I mean all you can really do is post like crazy and get your name and reputation out, or PM or VM people ok?
You have to start from somewhere,
not everyone knows you from the start.
