I love night time during the months of summer, particularly August & September. Those nights when the air has a perfect balance of warmth with cool breeze. Those nights when it's more comfortable to be outside because inside the air is hot with no circulation. Those nights when everything outside just seems peaceful and still and you feel like if you're too loud you'll ruin it. Well ladies and gentlemen who read my blog, tonight is one of those nights. And on nights like this, my favorite thing to do is just sit on the roof right outside my window and either think about shit, or watch the cars go by, or lay down be completely cliche and look up at the stars.

Tonight I went out, sat down on my usual spot just to the right of my window where nobody can see me, and turned on my iPod. To my disappointment, the only thing that popped up was a "Connect To Power" warning. I put the headphones in anyway, and just listened to the song that was currently stuck in my head. (What It's Like by Everlast) I used to do that all the time on the train. I listened to music so much that my battery was often dead, so I put headphones in and pretended to be intent on listening when really I just wanted to avoid conversations with other people. Because I'm just THAT social.

Well it is still too hot to be sitting in front of a computer, so I'm going to go see if there's anything in the freezer I can chew on.

I used to love doing that stuff too. There was a park near my house that I'd always walk to. I'd lay in the grass, look at the stars, and just listen to music forever it felt like. It's just so relaxing. [:
