Tor? Who the hell is that?

Posted January 23rd 2010 at 12:05 AM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

wow....it's been almost a month since I last blogged. I'm hardly on TH anymore...and that's not really intentional or anything, it's just the timeless excuse...I'VE BEEN BUSY. I know, original right? Maybe I should come up with a more interesting reason...

Okay, so here's the deal. A couple weeks ago I got in a huge fight with my parents about how many popsicles is "too many". Things got a little out of hand...harsh words were said...and well, I left home. I decided that I...

Hey, Stranger

Posted December 29th 2009 at 03:01 AM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

Oh hai there fellow blog followers! It seems like I haven't blogged in ages. Sure, it has been 16 long busy days...but I've gone longer than that without feeling weird about it. For some reason, it seems as though I haven't talked to you guys in too long. I miss TeenHelp!

Well, I guess the reason I haven't blogged is because nothing exciting has happened. I mean yeah Christmas, but there's not much to say there. Family, presents, turkey dinner...same 'ol. I guess I just wanted to make...

My relationship with gasoline...

Posted December 10th 2009 at 09:37 PM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

...is not a good one, to say the least. I've had far more bad experiences with getting gas than good ones.

When I first got my drivers license, I didn't have to worry about filling up because I didn't drive much..and when I did drive, I drove my mom's car. I recently got my own vehicle, and therefore had the new responsibility of getting my own gas. I know...scary, right? The first few times I filled up, I had a friend or sibling in the car with me. (I claimed it was because I didn't...

Adventures with Cake...part II

Posted December 5th 2009 at 07:10 AM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

Some of you who have read my previous blogs might recall one titled "Dad, I know you love lemons, but I hope you'll accept my lime" in which I told the story of the making of my dads birthday cake. Well, this is a similar blog...except on the other side of the parental circle. Yes...meaning my mother dearest. And no…this cake-making experience wasn’t any easier.

First of all, let me make it perfectly clear that I was under the impression that my parents weren’t gonna...

Robo Bathrooms

Posted November 13th 2009 at 05:28 AM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

Or as some of you non-americans might call it, "Robo Loos"...which actually has a better ring to it I must say.

As we're moving deeper and deeper into the technological world, we're seeing more touch screen, robotic, or just simply "automatic" things. Most of these things are rather cool. Like those games on the iphone...I bet my mom would have never imagined something like that when she was my age.

But some of these automatic things are just plain

Temporarily Permanent

Posted November 2nd 2009 at 05:09 PM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

I had a dream last night.

In this dream, I had enrolled in some foreign exchange program (or something like it) and I had just met my new host family in England. By the looks of the contents of my suitcase, it seemed as though I was going to be staying there for a decent period of time...at least a couple months.

For some reason, this dream has motivated me, and I now have a new goal.

I want to live in England.

I've never been out of the United...

A Year Without Lip Action?

Posted October 23rd 2009 at 03:52 AM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

My test results came back. First, my blood-cell count test (the one that isn't 100% accurate but usually gives the doctors a pretty good idea about what I have) showed little indication that I have mono. All my cell counts were normal, with the one exception simply showing that I had an infection...which we all know anyway. So, we all figured we hit another brick wall and my illness remained unknown. However when the second test came back (the one that took longer but was a for-sure answer of whether

All I want is a Chicken Sandwich

Posted October 20th 2009 at 04:17 AM by s_tor_m (Mentality of Tor)

You know what I could really go for right now...a nice, warm, crispy chicken sandwich with lettuce and mayo on a toasted bun, with fries on the side. Mmm. That sounds like heaven in my mouth.
Unfortunately, the closest I'm going to get to that anytime soon is tiny bites of chicken that I can just barely swallow, combined with the grossest taste that is most likely mono.
I don't know if that sentence even made sense, but bear with me. Since my past post on the 17th, my symptoms have
