Failure

I think that the fear of failure must never be a reason not to try something, we learn wisdom and how to do things from failure much more than success. We often discover what we will do, by finding out what we can not do.
To do this we have to forget about the consequences of failure. Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success.

Absolutely. All phenomena is transitory - and so is the 'state of failure'.
Forgetting, however, is quite difficult to do - and such approaches usually end in suppression and denial. The best way, is to embrace the possibility of failure in all its beautifully twisted forms - and see through them. See the concept of 'failure' as just that - a concept - and all concepts are inherently empty. Mental structures which we have been conditioned to adopt into our consciousness. It is truly not as frightening as it makes itself seem.
Which is all totally easier said than done - but of course, we should still say it. To encourage ourselves.Posted February 8th 2011 at 03:15 AM by Hiraeth
