Totally just quoted The Hills, how awesome am I ? Hehe, no, but my title seriously has a purpose.
I've been pondering upon something lately (cause I have nothing better to do, hehe).
Here's how it goes...:
What is up with girls referring to one another as "bitch", "hoe", "slut", etc etc ?!
We are all guilty of doing it, I myself go upon calling some of my best girlfriends like that but it's still kinda weird...nay ?
Some girls we call sluts and actually mean it ("Oh god, she's such a WHORE! " ), and that, in my opinion is a good use of these kinds of words. We all gotta rant sometimes and calling someone a bitch once in a while feels amazingly good, hehe. Although maybe that's just me...whatever, the point being that usually when you call your friend a whore ("Hey hoe', wait up !"), you usually don't mean it in an offensive manner.
I just find myself throwing these words everywhere without even realising it but older people do notice when I do. For example, last week, I was walking down the street after school and there was an old lady walking close by. As I was walking I heard someone yell "Sluuuuuuuut " behind me, so I turned around (which is insulting in a way since I knew I was the slut, oh well hehe). It was one of my best friends and I yelled back : " Whooooore", smiling and all kiddingly but the lady beside me threw me THE dirty look, scowling as she passed by.
I'm kinda used to elderly women hating on me (looooooong story) but it made me realise that our friendly words may be misinterpreted by others, ya know ?
Is it a good thing that these kind of words are becoming common to us ? That we can refer to each other in such a way, without being insulted by them ?
I dunno, but it still got me thinking.
Oh well, at least it got my mind off of things worth the ponder.

Much love,
- Megan

Yeah, my friends and I will call each other all that stuff too, and we just laugh it off. Of course, it makes no sense when you can call another girl whom you don't like that, and mean it in such a bad manner. Oh well, guess that's how the world works.

    loveyou
