Hey there, Amanda speaking from Green Valley High in Henderson, Nevada. This is my first blog entry, and I only have about ten minuets, so let's get to it.
Life at GVHS can be a mess; there are people smoking and making out in the halls and on campus, studying and trying to finish homework. Breaking up, making up, texting, talking, listening to iPods, going on the internet, updating MySpaces, Facebooks, and Twitters. (All of this happens during the five minuet passing periods) Talk about a lot going on! I am a freshman, and this school takes a lot getting used to. But there are some really good things too. My classes are great--except for one. My sixth period Foods and Nutrition class. You might hear me complain about the teacher, Mrs. Langlois, (her name is French, pronounced Langwa) a lot. She doesn't seem to enjoy teaching high schoolers, and likes to yell at the class all the time. I think part of the problem is that they don't respect her the way she thinks they should.
I don't really understand why she is teaching high school if she doesn't like to. It doesn't make sense, but if that's what she wants to do, I'm not going to stop her.
Oops, my 5th period Study Skills class is almost over, ttfn!
