Super busy month!

Ohmygosh it has been such a busy year already!
I've just submitted a research report that has been stressing me the heck out for weeks so that's a massive relief. I'm not expecting a good mark, but with the Open University you only need 40% to pass so as long as I get that, it should be okay.
I also just went to look at what module to do next and found I only have two more years left (I thought it was going to be 3!) and after this module I won't have to do any more exams. SUPER RELIEVED.
I also have BIG news. Well. It's big to me, but will mean virtually nothing to anyone here. After the New Year, everyone at work got an email from the chief exec announcing that he's retiring this summer. 4th of July, which everyone agrees is a very appropriate date given the circumstances. So in the next couple of weeks we'll start recruitment and begin looking for a new boss! I'm caught between wanting a change and seeing where the charities can go under new leadership, and also a dread feeling. Better the devil you know. Interesting times ahead either way!
Work is still super busy with the launch of our new database. But myself and two friends/colleagues have started a thing where, once a month around payday, we order in something for lunch and sit together and just eat and chat and enjoy each others' company. We email round and ask everyone else in the office if they want anything. Last month it was pizza when Domino's had a good offer on. But this month we're going back to the nice Chinese place we ordered from before Christmas and lots of people have said they'll get something this time round. I'm hoping it will be possible for everyone to have lunch together in the boardroom. There aren't great interdepartmental relations in the office. It's always about work and hardly anyone knows anyone outside of their department on a more personal level. This will help with that and everyone's really keen. It's also a wee treat to look forward to at the end of the month.
Now I'm just waiting for another physiotherapy appointment to come in because my muscles are playing up and it's worrying me. I'm seeing a doctor next week about getting a blood test to rule out any underlying issues while I'm waiting. The first thing physio will ask me when I go is whether I've had a blood test so I might as well get it out of the way. Could be as simple as a vitamin deficiency. If nothing else it will put my mind at rest! Or, it will after I've had the test. I'm so scared of needles that I already feel sick.
