Fly High and Let Me Go

Fly high and let me go
That sky will save your soul
When you pass by then you'll know
This is gonna take a bit of getting used to
But I know it's right for you
Let me go
That sky will save your soul
When you pass by then you'll know
This is gonna take a bit of getting used to
But I know it's right for you
Let me go
Okay so that song has nothing to do with anything, I just absolutely love it and have it stuck in my head right now.
It's been a busy couple of weeks. I've been helping out a lot with my mum at her new(ish) job. She's been assistant director for a couple of years, now she's director and basically works on her own. So essentially I've been filling in as assistant while she gets settled. I've set up a website and professional email for her, made a facebook page to get more 'out there', helped her write to all the parishes in the diocese (about 70 in all) to ask them to put the website in their bulletin and encourage their parishioners to take a look, and I've been helping her with her computer. My dad tasked me with breaking into an old petty cash box from his last job because the trustees wanted to donate the money in it to my village's community trust fund. He lost the key ages ago. So 25 minutes, a hammer, a screwdriver, some weird metal thing, and a lot of banging later, I finally forced the lock and got the money out. And I didn't get hurt!
Compared to yesterday when I'd only been up an hour and already burned my arm on my curlers, cut my thumb, and I suspect I have a paper cut in the corner of my mouth from when I was licking envelopes for mum. How can I be injured with paper but manage a hammer without so much as a scratch?
I've been emailing back and forth with Mark from the Open University Student Association. We think it'd be great when I move to Inverness for me to try and organise something social for OU students up there. I'm pretty excited about that and it means I have something to focus on (other than my studies, obviously) once I get there.
My book for the Counselling: Exploring Fear and Sadness module came in yesterday. It looks SO AMAZING!
We're off on holiday on Friday. Isle of Man, here we come! We went last year for the first time in 10 years and before we went I couldn't really remember anything about it. But when we got there I kept seeing things and going "I REMEMBER THAT!" or "Did we go for a walk in there?" it was so weird. I kept suddenly remembering where things were and what everything was.
We went to Rushen Abbey (CLICK) which is one of my favourite museums of all time. This happened:
I can't wait!
This wasn't really about anything but hey, I'm in a good mood and what's the use of a blog unless you update strangers who probably don't care about a life where not much is happening?
We're all goin' on a.... summer holiday...!
