Holidayssss!

I'm on holiday!
We came to Whinfell Forest for the weekend for my mum's birthday and it's pretty awesome. At the moment I'm just chilling myself at the villa we're staying in with some good music and a nice cold vodka. Bliss!
The villa is alright but seriously, my brother and I share a room and the storage space equates to one shelf and six hangers in a really tiny cupboard. Sooooo yeah. Couldn't really stay here longer than a weekend due to the fact there is no space for anything.
We have a really beautiful view, though. Right over the lake and we can see the village centre at the other side. It's a massive glass building and it's lit up beautifully at night.
We just fed the ducks a few slices of bread. So since my parents and brother were heading out, my dad locked the patio door. It was literally just a small click. Every duck in that lake came running up the hill at us thinking we had more food. It was hilarious. xD
I went in the pool yesterday! In the water!
This is a revelation since I think I've gone in the pool on holiday maybe twice since I was 17. Aside from the fact I'm hideously self conscious, I just don't see the pleasure. It's basically a communal bathtub and occasionally you'll get a kid pooing in the water. But I did it! Proud!
They've really upgraded the place. It used to be you'd get two keys for your accommodation, in the pool you'd need £1 for the lockers (you get them back, obviously) and if you wanted to eat in the pool you'd have to go out to your locker, get your wallet, go get your food, then put your wallet back.
No more!
Now you get this rubber wristband that you put against a scanning device on the front door to let you in. This wristband also lets you open and close the lockers in the pool, and if you forget your number you just hold your wristband to one of the scanners dotted about and your locker number comes up. You can even have it connected to your bank card and set a cap (max is £200 I think) so you can use that to buy things in the pool, the spa, and the sweet shop. It's a really great system and a lot of fun to play with. Not to mention how much EASIER it is! They're waterproof so you can basically just put it on and wear it your entire trip. Although, they're a bit big. I put mine on my ankle in the pool just in case.
I wish real life had a system like this. It's like living in a dream here.
Of course I'm the sad git in this lovely dream world that's sat on TH. In my defence, I really need a distraction. I have an ulcer in my mouth and it freaking hurts! I was almost crying over my burger at lunch yesterday "How can something that tastes so good hurt this much?! "
Salt water helps a bit though so with any luck it'll go soon. Meanwhile I have to eat at an odd angle with a grimace on my face and try not to smile too big.
I love holidays.
