I saw a sign in a shop window last week:
15 WEEKS TILL CHRISTMAS!
So now I'm panicking about not getting everything done in time. Yesterday was a looooong day. I was working 10-2 like I usually do, then I had to wander about for an hour before going back for a Staff Meeting at 3. (Seriously there were about 30 of us trying to fit into the tiny managers' office, and only 7 chairs. No one could move.) That lasted about an hour where we were told that this year we will be selling Christmas trees! We didn't last year and lots of people were disappointed. So at 4 when the meeting was finished I signed out (we got paid for going! ) and mum picked me up. Home for dinner, quick run to Asda to get stuff for the parents, chill out for an hour, and then back to work to help out at a fashion show. See my excessive Why Me? rant for how successful that was.
So today I plan to chill out, give my back a rest (it's not been the same since I did something to it a few years ago, being on my feet for too long leaves it really sore and stiff and ouchy ) and start on my Christmas shopping.

Except I have no idea what to get anyone. I mean, my mum really wants a t-shirt that says "My Other Grandfather..." (Milton Jones reference) so I'm thinking of using Cafe Press for that since I bought a vest top from them ages ago (£18!!) and it's lasting really well and the picture/words haven't even started coming out in the wash yet. But she has a big birthday in the middle of January, and while we're going away to England for a couple of days to celebrate that, I kind of want to find something nice for her for that too.
I've already told my brother just to tell me if there's any games or anything coming out I can get him since I'd end up picking something ridiculous like Revenge of the Fluffy Bunnies and he'd be the laughing stock of his friends.
My dad. Jesus I don't even know. I saw a Guylian (sp?) hamper somewhere and he likes that so maybe. Might just go on aquarterof and buy him a load of old retro sweets.
Which just leaves Naomi. Last year I made her a scrapbook and just filled up a stocking with little things and put candy canes round the edge of it. Six to be precise. She put a photo on tumblr with the caption "6 candy canes, fuck you Glenn Coco!"
So I don't want to do the same again.

Anyway, right after Christmas (6 days! Hogmany!) I turn 21! This is the cake I really want to get:

It's from Costco, the maker of the best cakes in the world. I got the same one when I was 16 and it was amazing. Surprisingly cheap, too.

But yes. I'm hoping that after my birthday some time I can get away for a couple of days with Naomi. I suggested it to her and she said she'd been thinking the same. Not sure where we'd go but it was amazing last year when we went to the seaside over Valentine's. So far we've looked at London and Ireland. Personally I thought the Isle of Man would be good but they don't have a Premier Inn (sooooo cheap!) and I don't know the island well enough to get about without a car and a satnav. Since neither of us can drive... well that won't work.
Either way, we'll find somewhere god (Just not Liverpool or Wales, those accents annoy the hell out of me - no offence!)

Between this stuff, my open uni, extended family things, Naomi things... well I have a lot going on. I'm focusing on myself a bit (I know, I'm selfish) and pulling back a little from people. Not in a mean way, I just need some space, y'know? Sort things out, keep things going, and be positive!
OH AND THE LION KING IS ON AT THE EDINBURGH PLAYHOUSE AND I WANT TO GO SO FUCKING BAD BECAUSE I'VE NEVER SEEN THE LION KING LIVE BEFORE AND OMFG PLEASE?!
