I've waited so long for someone to say that to me. I met with Fiona (course tutor) and Susie (student support worker) today for a "Progress Review". We talked about what I'd done, what I still had to hand in, and what I needed to do.
As of now I need to:
Then we talked about how I looked exhausted and I had to explain I haven't been sleeping well and how going into class and having people around me from nearly every direction has me panicking the night before (which actually could be why I'm not sleeping) so we talked about how we can deal with that so I calm down a bit.
They've taken me out of my Thursday morning video editing class so I can focus on my other work and said if I can't sleep or feel worked up on Wednesday mornings (seems to be mornings I freak out about, afternoons are generally okay) then just come in when I can, as long as I make it in at some point to check in with Fiona and see what I'm doing.
It's incredible how amazing Fiona's been about all of this. I swear, I'm not just being a lazy cow and deciding I can't be assed with college so I stay home. I felt sick all last night and was stressing about going in. When I realised I had a review meeting at half two and didn't have to be in until then, it was like I could breathe freely and relax instead of being tensed up and scared.
Hopefully I can get a decent sleep tonight since I'm totally knackered and I'm praying that this new "routine" for college works out okay.
Until then I get to feel like a lazy bitch who doesn't deserve to have a place in college and so many amazing people in her life because she's just going to screw it all up.
As of now I need to:
- Make a workbook with inspirations and explanations for my graphic design class.
- Make the poster for my graphic design class and hand it in.
- Hand in my user interface design images and do the writing part of them for Fiona.
- Download the trial Photoshop and fix the picture I emailed to myself from class.
- Start creating a website for the main web design class and write out a requirements spec. for it. Have that handed in by February 8th, I think.
