Whee, I'm gonna make a journal up here!
I can't help but be excited...

Well, tomorrow Jon gets his first paycheck. Now of course I don't like that he wants to spend his money to go and get me nice things and take me out, but at the same time I can't help feeling excited about going out with him.
He wants to take me out to eat at a really good Mexican restaraunt downtown; he's taken me there once before, and the food is very good and at a very reasonable price!
There's one other thing he really wants to do, and I wish he wouldn't because it's a tad expensive, but at the same time I just can't help but be uber excited. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter. I love the books and the movies, I have them all. Ever since the first movie came out when I was 7 and I found out about Potter, there was one thing I'd just fallen in love with; the Gryffindor color scarf that the characters wore in the movie. That means I've wanted one for 12 years, but the problem is I'm picky. First off, if you want the old school scarf (they changed the pattern from the 3rd movie onward) it's impossible to find it manufactured, you have to buy it online, handmade. And not many of them are really good quality and most have the wrong shades of red and the yellow is bright instead of gold. But I finally found one that was beautifully made and just perfect, and now Jon is going to buy it for me.
I'm really grateful for everything he's done and is planning to do for me. He says I deserve it, but I don't really think so. I just can't wait to wear that scarf; Spring has been pretty cold here so far this year, so I'll still have plenty of opportunities to wear it. He keeps teasing me, saying I'll look just like Hermione Granger when I wear it (I have the same hair color, length, and the curls).
And by the way, this is a picture of the scarf he's getting me. It's the best-looking one I've seen, and the user who runs the shop (coming from etsy) has 100% positive feedback, tons of comments all saying her scarves are soft, warm, beautifully made, yada yada.

Wow, that is a really beautiful scarf! I bet it'll look amazing on you! Jon is so sweet to treat you to all of these things. You have every right to be excited as well! You deserve to have fun times with him after all! Sometimes even if you may not be able to afford the most extravagant things for him you can still treat him to nice things every once in a while as well and I bet he'll appreciate that. I'm really glad that he finally has a steady source of income coming in as well and I hope that things continue to look up for the both of you!
