Prince of Darkness

Every night I lose sleep. For every second of sleep I lose I think of you. Your eyes and the way they light up every time you see me makes me smile. That smile of yours could light up the room the way the ends of your mouth curl up and stretch for miles across your face. How you light up the room when you walk in. the cloak of black you wear doesn’t make you invisible. You stand out even more in my mind because of your black cloak. I lay there and reflect on moments of the past. Those moments you may not remember, but I remember vividly. As I lay there and reflect my mind starts to fast forward. What will our future look like? This is unknown territory. You and I will go and explore this together. I will lose sleep every night until that day arrives. The sleeplessness will start to set in. my eyelids will start to close, but know this: every night I fall asleep thinking of you, my Prince of Darkness.
