So I went to the doctor, who filled out a medical certificate no fuss, although she said that WINZ will want me to go to one of their doctors to be assessed. I'm not too bothered, I've fulfilled my obligation, I'll have everything I need for my appointment on Friday.

Got cigarettes and topped up my phone prior to going to the doctors. Felt poor. Oh well.

Then I came home and messed around online for a while, waiting...

I've found a place not far from here for $165 per week, and the move-in costs are around $700, meaning I should be able to get (repayable) financial assisstance from WINZ to help with the move. I accidentally slept until 3pm. Like, oops, fail. I thought somebody would wake me up after 1pm - especially as they've gone out somewhere - but apparently not. I have now set a recurring 10:30am alarm on my phone to prevent further occurrences. I think 10:30am is a perfectly reasonable time to sleep in until, and then I'll still have some morning and there will be a gap between breakfast and lunch. Which bodes well for being healthier.

I like rain. It's been waaaaaay too warm for April so the rain's nice, it's cooling down the weather somewhat, which is pleasant.

When you've lost weight! Wooo! Even cooler because I really haven't been doing anything, so it must be something in the way I'm eating - which also doesn't make sense because my eating and sleeping are all over the place at the moment. Still, I'm not complaining.

It wasn't a large amount of weight. And I can't say how much due to the rules about posting weight numbers. But I was surprised and pleased.

So I rang WINZ. They're sending me out an application for invalid's benefit and I have an appointment next Friday. I need to wash my gym shirt and write a resignation letter, and take it in either tomorrow or Monday. I think tomorrow would be best but I don't know if I'll be able to access the washing machine in a timely manner.

So in a few weeks (three at most) all those loose ends will be tied up, and I'll either be on the Invalid's benefit, or they'll decline it and I'll stay on...
