So, I have ordinary days now. Let me take you through today.

I got up, volunteered at the local food bank, went to visit some family, ate dinner then went to NA.

That's literally all I did today.

On ordinary days I still have some cravings. Sometimes I miss self harm. Sometimes I miss drugs. But missing these things doesn't mean I'm going to go back to doing them, and seeing how much I've grown without them makes it easier to get to the moment where I lay my head on my pillow and go to sleep. Just for today. That's all it is. Just one day a time.

We have some interesting news in our flat which I might go into at another point in time, but for now, just know that the flat is going well.

If you read this, thanks. I know it's not much. But I also know that ordinary days matter, and they're a huge part of recovery.

I am really proud of you for being drug and self harm free. I'm a 4 year recovering addict. It's a hard road but it's worth it. Ordinary days are awesome. <3 <3
