Good Friday 2013

Yup, it's Good Friday. I'm at my Mum's place, I've been here since yesterday afternoon. They have literally just driven out on their way to Rotorua, so it's just myself, Nana, and the dog. Good times.
Really brilliant news: I got $50! It seemed pretty random to me but it turns out that it's the money I made doing the short shift at Spotlight during stocktake. I was surprised, but I plan to go The Warehouse tomorrow to purchase new underwear. I'm down to only 5 comfortable pairs, due to my new rule that I have to throw away underwear that develop noticeable holes, and I need some more so that I only have to do my washing once a week.
Also, Easter - I told Mum I was going to eat her food whilst I was here. She misinterpreted me! Result? There's a plastic bag of junk food just for me! I have three different types of chocolate biscuits, sprinkle biscuits, a box of shapes, a bag of chicken chips, a chocolate bunny, and a couple of hollow easter eggs. Oh and a bottle of L&P.
And there's stuff in the freezers that I can turn into meals, plus I brought some of my own junk food with me. Winning or what? Food is totally sorted anyway.
Thursday. Being yesterday. I was feeling pretty awful (I've been low for so long), but Leisa took me to art group. When she came back to take me home, she said she had news for me. She asked me to guess what the best news would be. I said, my license? And she said, no, you're already getting that back, what would be the next thing? And I said, medication that works? And she nodded. She told me in the car that she'd been to talk to my doctor (who is apparently staying for another month) and discussed the medication and lowness issue, and he said they've known for a long time what they need to do but haven't known how to go about it. So I have an appointment with him this coming Tuesday (I'm not sure what time, and I think Leisa's taking me to it) to discuss using the med run and going on medication that works - it will most likely be a combination of lithium and citalopram. Best news. It will be so nice to not be depressed. It's been so long, I don't know what that's like, in the last few years I've never had more than 3 months in a row of not being depressed.
Frustration. I had my probation appointment, I wore a t-shirt. So naturally my probation officer saw my scars. In spite of all the work I've been doing, she has still regressed me to thre-weekly reporting, and threatened me with weekly. I was so mad I almost cried. But I was good, instead of doing dumb stuff, I texted Leisa, who called me, and yeah. So that's frustrating but whatever.
And I think that's everything. I'm happysad. Stuff is going ok but I'm still so low.

It's great when you find out that you have a bit of extra spending money, isn't it? I hope you managed to get yourself something nice, as well as getting some comfortable underwear.
I'm glad that Easter seemed to go well for you, and that you had some good news beforehand.
You're going to get through this. <3Posted April 4th 2013 at 10:35 AM by Halcyon
