Rainy Day.

It's raining. It started raining overnight. I know, because I kept waking up, because I was too warm, and then my blankets would feel funny, and I'd realised I'd stripped them back to down by my knees or something of the sort. Also, my goosedown stuffed blanket has seceded from my bed, temporarily, and even without that, I was still too hot! Seriously. It's WINTER here.
Today seems a fair bit cooler than last night and I'm moderately glad. It's been raining pretty much all day, which meant that I utilised my umbrella when I went out for a smoke before, but aside from that it's kind of pleasant. We haven't had all-day rain since my first week in hospital, and in that week I didn't really notice it.
I've rolled up the bottoms of my jeans so that they don't get wet, because standing on damp fabric is not a sensation I enjoy. Also, the wind's blowing in the right direction that if I leave my jandals outside the front of the house, they get completely soaked, so jandals are of no use today and I just have to live with the fact that my feet will get wet, and then they will dry.
I have my WINZ appointment to sort out my bond and stuff tomorrow. Leisa is coming with me, I'm not sure if she's going to pick me up or if we'll meet there. Hopefully meet there, I've had enough of other people's cars for the time being. Then on Tuesday, we move! Hooray! Cooking food I like! Showering when I want! Doing my own washing in a normal washing machine! All that fun stuff that comes with being independent. Ah.
If Leisa can get me onto Invalid's Benefit, then I'm going to join the Sykes Road gym again - I really liked that gym, especially because membership included free use of the spa and sauna, and there's nothing quite so nice as settling down for a nice chillax in the spa after a hard workout - really makes it worth it.
I found my contract for Configure, turns out it would end up costing roughly the same amount to terminate the contract early as it would to just continue paying the weekly fee until the contract terminates naturally. So, I'll probably be a little out of pocket until about this time next year.
Oh, and I also need to remember to ring AMI and cancel my current car insurance policy so I can switch to AA, which is cheaper, and has more benefits. And in about 3 months, hopefully I'll get my license back. It feels like it's taking forever, I miss driving - and my car - so badly. Apparently Vicki told Judy that they're going to look at helping me get my HT license once I get my license back. That'll be cool, I'd love to drive trucks for a living - even doing it part-time would be pretty fun.
I was going to play RuneScape but it kept failing to load. I'm not sure if it's a problem with our connection (likely) or a problem with my laptop. I'll find out once I set up internet in my new place. And I'm not getting membership again until I'm on a good connection.
Anywho I might go read a book.
