I have temporarily rediscovered my RuneScape mojo (not sure how long it will last) and am using it to try and get over level 70 in everything. One more thieving level, 9 construction levels, 12 runecrafting levels, and 13 dungeoneering levels . . . I wonder if I'll manage it before I get bored again. Who knows?

I went to gym yesterday, had a discussion with my manager. Because I hadn't been for like, 6 weeks, and hadn't contacted them (oops) the committee saw me as abandoning my job. Fair enough, I totally understand that. And my position is currently being advertised, although according to my manager, they haven't had anyone apply yet. I got told that if I wanted to, I could continue to volunteer but because of my lack of reliability they can no longer pay me - which is fine with me, in all honesty. I'm not sure if I should continue coaching though. My boys have got a lot stronger and have gained a lot more skills with my manager coaching them, and Brian's been coming on Fridays. I honestly think they have a better chance in competitions with coaches who aren't me - I simply don't communicate with them enough, and they lose out as a result of that. Yesterday evening I hung around and sort of coached, and what I noticed was, I barely say anything - partly because I'm scared I'll say the wrong thing, mostly because I simply don't know what to say. How will gymnasts know what to do and how to improve if they barely get any feedback? It's not fair on them.

Also there's the fact that I'm awaiting hearing for the matter of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, and awaiting some sort of contact regarding the incident at hospital - and it was said last year that if I get any more convictions, they'd have to fire me.

Now, it's extremely likely that I will have more convictions by the end of June.
I think that it is probably best for me to cut my losses and resign. Because although I do enjoy coaching, my inconsistency is affecting my gymnasts, and they are achieving better with a different coach. So thinking about what's best for them - it's best if I'm not there.

And I have no desire to be fired. At least if I resign, I walk away with some small amount of dignity in tact.

On a sort-of related note, I'm going to apply for Invalid's Benefit. It gives more money than Sickness Benefit (nearly $100 more a week), I'm sick of being poor, and I'm fairly sure I qualify. I've been on Sickness Benefit for over a year, which would seem to indicate that I am "permanently and severely incapacitated in my ability to work". There's also the fact that I've never held down a full time job (although not for lack of trying) and the only employment I have able to sustain is under 10 hours per week. I just have to get my GP to do a medical certificate I think. I'll ring WINZ and ask . . . at some point.

I got me a new pipe today. $5. I think in the process of moving, my mum found my old one and threw it out, because I think my flatmate stealing it was a bit far-fetched (as he smoked joints) and I overheard my sister saying something at some point. So now I just need to wait until I have enough spare money to actually procure something green and gold and glorious.

Anyway that's today's rant. Happy posting.
