OHMYGOD, what a surprisingly expensive trip o.0
See, I didn't book my bus home in advance, which turned out to be a huge mistake, as all the day time buses were sold out, the overnight bus arrived at 1:50am, the 9:40am bus the next day meant I would have had to sleep on the floor of the public toilet or something . . .
The overnight bus was $57, the one the next day was $39.
I caught the overnight bus.
I get $189 a week. I spent $17.80 on cigarettes and powerade, $57 on the bus trip home, got out $40 cash (of which I still have about $25, it went on food and buses in Auckland), $25.67 on finishing repaying a fine, $16 on an automatic payment I forgot about, $13.70 at McDonalds for breakfast, and $3.60 at McDonalds some time in the afternoon . . . and that all adds up to . . . $173.79 . . . and in my bank I have $13.35 left.
THERE IS A MASSIVE ISSUE HERE - I haven't paid my Mum rent yet! Now, as to the $25 I still have, I actually need that for public transport on Monday and Tuesday. Public transport's a bitch. I have $13.35, but that's not going to cover anything, really. I am supposed to pay my Mum $120 a week, although lately she's been getting about $80. Here's the thing though - I actually want to pay my rent and be reliable and all that crap. I simply don't have the funds available to do that.
I may have to make an appointment for emergency assistance at WINZ and get them to pay the money straight into my Mum's bank account. I doubt that they'll allow it though, WINZ are so unhelpful most of the time. And I've already called in enough favours from the people I know.
So anyway, my trip to Taupo, which I will detail more of later, ended up being something of an expensive fiasco.
Oh and the legal stuff - I'm remanded at large until June 18th, when a hearing will be held in Taupo, which my Mum has to attend, as she's the complainant. She's not happy about this.
