Bipolar disorder explained

Bipolar disorder is quite simple to understand. It is extreme mood swings a person may face.The first main common one is depression, the one that I face. The following list is the symptoms that depression may face:
<em>feeling sad and hopeless
lacking energy making you not want to do basic things such as getting out of bed or eating
difficulty concentrating and remembering things
loss of interest in everyday activities
feelings of emptiness or worthlessness which can make you feel like or even die and therefore I will personally do a article about this very soon
feelings of guilt and despair and leave you wondering questions that makes you feel very alone
feeling pessimistic about everything and doubting about decisions
self-doubt <!--more-->
being delusional, having hallucinations and disturbed or illogical thinking
lack of appetite and often, like me, snacking instead of meals
difficulty sleeping and waking up in the night causing tiredness
waking up early
suicidal thoughts, even trying to commit suicide also which is hard to deal with

These feelings are hard to deal with but the right help can make a massive difference.
Mania is harder to deal with. Extreme feelings are not good. These are some of the following:
<em>feeling very happy, elated or overjoyed
talking very quickly so you can't understand
feeling full of energy so quite hyper
feeling self-important and bossing around to get your own way
feeling full of great new ideas and having important plans
being easily distracted so finding work hard to come to terms with
being easily irritated or agitated
being delusional, having hallucinations and disturbed or illogical thinking
not feeling like sleeping so get very tired
not eating so lose energy
doing things that often have disastrous consequences, such as spending large sums of money on expensive and sometimes unaffordable items
making decisions or saying things that are out of character and that others see as being risky or harmful </em>
There are lots of patterns which include sudden changes of mood and not feeling strong for quite a while.
Living with it is hard but if you take care of yourself you can do it. Remember friends are there for support if you need it and there are other options than suicide!
