Friendship is vital during your mental illness. Your friends should be able to talk to you and treat you like the way that you are meant to. Respect is one of the most important parts to your recovery.

Adam is one of my best friends. We met at school and we always speak to each other. We speak nearly every day at some point and we talk about whatever we both feel is right. For me it is the biggest help that is possible for me. He knows what I can cope with and how to deal with me if it is a bad day which does happen but he somehow never says that it too much for him which is what I need in a friend.

I have other amazing friends that are just as useful and kind and caring. However some of them can’t cope all of the time which is something that is ok but if you think that they are going a bit down just check they are ok as that can save friendships.

Friends are amazing and with support such as Adam as I would not be doing so well without people like him
