So nice of you to drop by, thank you so much for doing so! In case you don't happen to know who I am, my name is Mark. I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. If you happen to read some of my oldest entries, you will notice how I've changed along the way compared to now.
I want to remind you that we all go through challenges and obstacles. We can't go back and change what happened. All we can do is our best at the end of the day and learn from experience so we don't end up repeating the same mistakes.
If you ever want to message me about anything, feel free to PM me and I will answer back as soon as possible.
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day wherever you are in whatever time zone you are in!

Feeling Like An Emotional Wreck?

You know what I’m talking about.
Your life’s in turmoil.
There’s no escape, everything is all dark
and there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.
You feel as though your life’s going down
the drain no matter what kind of situation
you’re currently in right now.
Your relationships are turning bitter.
And you can’t help but cry, feeling sad, lonely
and depressed because you think to yourself:
“How the hell will it get better from here?”
Let me remind you that if you’re feeling like
an emotional wreck right now…
It’s okay.
It’s okay to acknowledge those feelings,
to experience those feelings instead of
suppressing them inside and acting like
everything is okay, when truthfully it isn’t.
You can lie and bullshit everyone and anyone
around you, but there’s one person you’ll never
be able to fool…and that’s the reflection staring back at you.
Every day, when you look in that mirror, the
reflection staring back at you is going to know
how you’re truly feeling deep down even though, you’re
telling everybody around you a different story.
There’s no need to hide and act like tough dog.
It’s okay to be vulnerable.
You need those moments of darkness, of sadness
in order to truly appreciate those moments of lightness,
of happiness because without those dark days and
struggles, you won’t truly appreciate what it means to be alive.
There’s no such thing as a utopia, a life without pain.
If life had no pain and no struggle, our lives would be boring,
and they wouldn’t be as meaningful.
Stop wishing for things to be easier.
You’re only saying a prayer for weakness.
Wish for strength through the dark moments in your life.
It’s inevitable, you can’t avoid it, but what you
can do is choose to be strong and face the storm.
You matter.
You are loved.
Don’t think for a moment your life is meaningless,
that there’s nothing to live for anymore.
No matter what it is you’re going through, recognize
that it’s a phase and it’s not permanent.
Sometimes the worst days of our lives can be
the best days of our lives because every experience
we go through always has a lesson to be learned from,
and that lesson(s) can be life-changing.
If you remember to keep pushing through even
when you have every reason to stay in the ground,
life is molding you into a warrior.
Life is encouraging growth in your character,
and furthering the development of wisdom within you,
if you choose to allow it.
Spend more time working on bettering yourself,
don’t worry about other people.
If you’re feeling like an emotional wreck right now,
and you think helping others is going to make it any better…
You’re wrong.
While it’s great to help others and be of service to them…
Remember:
You can’t be of help to anyone if you can’t be of help to yourself.
