So nice of you to drop by, thank you so much for doing so! In case you don't happen to know who I am, my name is Mark. I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. If you happen to read some of my oldest entries, you will notice how I've changed along the way compared to now.
I want to remind you that we all go through challenges and obstacles. We can't go back and change what happened. All we can do is our best at the end of the day and learn from experience so we don't end up repeating the same mistakes.
If you ever want to message me about anything, feel free to PM me and I will answer back as soon as possible.
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day wherever you are in whatever time zone you are in!

The Irony You Fail To Realize

Here’s what’s so fascinating to me now
that I’ve spent time bettering myself and
continue to work on my mindset every day:
I see so many people holler a cry for help,
complaining about their problems, especially
how they’re always telling a tale of some tragedy
pretty much the entire time, and how they
have no friends and want friends.
Yet, when they come to a place such as
this very website you’re on right now and
somebody starts talking to them, they’re
shallow and superficial.
You can tell from the way someone writes back to you.
You can tell from the way they present themselves.
You can tell from the way the conversation goes
if you were to video chat or phone call them.
Almost everyone is all about “fast and me.”
How fast can I get into a relationship and
finally have a boyfriend/girlfriend?
How fast can I get someone to be my friend?
What can I benefit from talking to this person?
All these kinds of questions are selfish, and it’s
no wonder why many can’t maintain good relationships.
What makes this even more sad is many
people go through almost their entire life
never recognizing this.
Here’s a secret:
If you really want to make true friends…
If you really want to have genuine relationships…
Think “steady and them.”
Express a genuine interest in the other person.
Listen more and ask the questions you really want to know about
that indicates you care about what they’re talking about.
Quit playing that stupid game of “is he/she interested
in a relationship, can this person be a good friend?”
Don’t overthink it.
Allow things to develop naturally.
Take your time.
If you’re feeling like you’re “trying too hard” or
“you find it difficult to get a moment of their time,”
most likely that person is not for you.
Do yourself a favor:
Stop trying to be a friend to everyone, saying
scripted bullshit because you see everybody else
doing the same, and you think it’s right to do.
Stop trying “to fit in like everybody else.”
Be you, be genuine in your approach, and
talk the same way you write and speak.
It will go a long way.
