So nice of you to drop by, thank you so much for doing so! In case you don't happen to know who I am, my name is Mark. I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. If you happen to read some of my oldest entries, you will notice how I've changed along the way compared to now.

I want to remind you that we all go through challenges and obstacles. We can't go back and change what happened. All we can do is our best at the end of the day and learn from experience so we don't end up repeating the same mistakes.

If you ever want to message me about anything, feel free to PM me and I will answer back as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day wherever you are in whatever time zone you are in!

This is gonna be a hard message for you to hear,
but I only express this to you because the sooner
that you understand this, the better off you’ll be.

Stop looking to other people to complete you.

I get it. I can relate to the feeling when you have
that one friend you can always count on, or you have
that one boyfriend/girlfriend who loves you unconditionally.

It’s awesome to have those people who will be
there for you, even in those darkest days ahead.

But the truth is they’re not always going to be around.

Stop setting the bar of expectations so high
because most likely, they won’t meet all of your expectations,
and you’ll only end up feeling disappointed in the end.

Or if you have no friends, you don’t
have a romantic partner at the moment,
I’m sure you’ve been told to make a list of
all the qualities you want in your ideal friend,
your ideal romantic partner.

However, instead of making a list of qualities
about what we want in the other person, how about
making a list for ourselves in how we want to be
as an individual?

Be that amazing person you want to meet.

We are told time and time again be with someone
who makes you happy, but the truth is what we need
to do is be someone who makes you happy.

Real happiness is how you feel when you’re by yourself.

You’ve got to be able to enjoy your own company
because if you don’t, no one else will.

You may have people right now who you can’t
survive without, but the truth is the people who you
can’t survive without can survive without you.

I understand that is hard to hear, but I say this
with the intention that you live a happy, fulfilled life
because at the end of the day, that is what I want for you.

Dig down deep inside yourself, and find the
strength within to love yourself and build yourself
up to the kind of person you want to be.

Don’t look to the other person to fill in the holes.

Fill them in yourself.
