So nice of you to drop by, thank you so much for doing so! In case you don't happen to know who I am, my name is Mark. I'm a 23-year old who's currently building a life that I want to enjoy for the long term. This blog is designed for young adults who seek guidance and clarity on the problems that life often throws at us. What you will gain from reading my blog entries is the wisdom that I've learned along the way that has helped me create and live a better life. You can absolutely do the same. If you happen to read some of my oldest entries, you will notice how I've changed along the way compared to now.
I want to remind you that we all go through challenges and obstacles. We can't go back and change what happened. All we can do is our best at the end of the day and learn from experience so we don't end up repeating the same mistakes.
If you ever want to message me about anything, feel free to PM me and I will answer back as soon as possible.
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day wherever you are in whatever time zone you are in!

Letting Go

Letting go.
It is the one thing
Most of us won't do.
It's not that we're not
Capable of letting go.
We'd just rather hold on
To all that sadness,
To all that bitterness,
To all that anger,
And sometimes, let it consume us.
How can we truly enjoy life
If we're never happy?
If we're always missing something?
If we're always angry?
When that person you don't want to see
Walks into the room
More than likely
You'll immediately want to leave
Instead of swallowing your pride
And forgiving that person
For whatever it is
That they did to you.
Now, forgiveness
Is not the same as saying
A simple sorry.
That's different.
By forgiving someone
For their wrongdoings
And not waiting for them
To say sorry to you,
You are doing yourself a favor
And letting go
Of all the hatred,
Of all the pain,
Of all the suffering,
That you've ever endured
With that person.
You're giving yourself peace
And freedom
And getting your life back
With no strings attached.
It's no surprise
That probably most
Will not do this
And rather let despair
Consume their whole life.
Of course, circumstances
Will vary for everyone.
However, if you have a grudge
Maybe with a friend
Maybe with a family member
Or with someone along the lines
Of those things,
Letting go is very possible.
You don't have to be with them
Or around them after forgiving
Those people.
Forgiveness is for your own
Peace of mind.
The next time you find yourself
Angry or very sad
About someone who won't change
Ask yourself...
Do I want to live a freedom lifestyle,
Or do I want to live in imprisonment?
It is the one thing
