London was incredible. The convention was a little disappointing. We paid £35 for a Saturday ticket and all that got us was entry to the free talks, which were basically run by fans and didn't involve any of the actors or anything, and access to a wee area that had various props and costumes displayed. Everything else had to be paid for.
The merchandise was almost all last year's stuff with last year's dates on them which was a bit of a rip-off given that they weren't discounted or anything. I wanted to get the tote bag they had for this year but they had sold out of it the night before. It was open for 2-3 hours on Friday night for people with weekend and premium tickets to have a look around. The fact they sold out of something in that time says a lot.
After we'd looked around and had our photos and stuff we went to Covent Garden where we found a nice wee pub to have lunch in.
On Sunday we had a look around Harrod's which was unbelievably huge and more expensive than any place I've ever been to, or will ever go to. Two minutes walk away, across the road, was Hyde Park. It was really surreal to go from this busy street with lots of posh shops to suddenly being in this huge, peaceful park with a big lake. We had an amazing time and have said several times that we'd love to go back.

Tonight, mum and dad are away together, as they do sometimes. Mike is having 'maximum ten people' over so I'll be entertaining myself in my bedroom with the TV/VCR I've had since I was 9.
I've bought a miniature bottle of vodka, some cocktails in cans, and some Doritos to make nachos with. All I need is to pick some killer films (Juno is definitely on the list!) and snuggle up in my M&M t-shirt that's basically a dress on me:

Seriously. Best purchase ever. It's ridiculously comfortable and comes down to my knees. I also got an M&M blanket for £3 because I spent more than £16 on other stuff which was awesome.

OH. One bit of totally amazing news:
I went to the dentist.
I know, I know. Big deal.
I am completely terrified of the dentist. As in can't-sleep-sweaty-shaking-feel-like-vomiting terrified. Just the thought of going was enough to make me nauseous. But I found a place online that specialises in nervous patients and will even offer gas & air or IV sedation for procedures if you're too worried about it. They're only about 10 miles away from where I live so I booked an appointment and went on Thursday.
Bearing in mind I haven't been to the dentist since I was 17. I'm now 23. She was really lovely though and appreciated that I was nervous. She found a couple of really small holes on my teeth that, despite not being problematic, she wants to fill just to be safe. I agreed with her that I'd rather do that now than leave them and potentially have to get more serious treatment further down the line. I'm booked in on Friday to get it sorted. I'm also completely beyond scared of needles so I'll be facing two fears at once on Friday. I did tell her this and she was very reassuring, she said she'd use some numbing cream so I don't feel as much and then once the needle has done it's job I won't feel a thing anyway. She has a TV on the ceiling above the chair which is cool, but I was planning to ask if she minds me listening to music through my headphones while she works. That way I can turn up the volume, close my eyes, and it'll be over before I know it.

This time next week my teeth will be nice and healthy and I can stop worrying so much.
Wish me luck!

I'm glad things seem to be going well for you right now! :D That sucks about the con, though. Do they have a website so you can take a peek at it next year before booking your tickets? I'm so glad you found a dental office that caters to anxious patients! I am surprised they don't use the numbing cream over there before the novicaine. Or is that just your dentist?

Good luck Friday and have fun this evening. A fatty dip, chips, vodka, and Juno sounds like a wonderful Saturday!
