Memory boxes are one of the best inventions that have ever been invented. I myself have one which is full of bits and pieces that are important to me.

Photos are perfect for memory boxes as they can bring back very happy memories of anything that you like. I have over 50 photos so you can never have too many photos.

If a close relative has died then maybe some things that they had when they were alive could be useful. I have a walking stick from grandad, lots of jewellery, hats, pictures etc etc…

For depression a diary that you write in could be very beneficial. Write about what you want in it and remember that no one could judge you on what you write and I for one would be one of the very first to say that it is a great thing to do.

The box itself should be something personal to you or something that you like. I found a chest for me that I really liked the look off and I for one love having it in arms reach.

I also have a box full of things I need to help me with my depression where I keep my diary and other things like cuddly toys to get if I feel bad I can get them and other things to help me with any stress that I may be going through.

Hi there I've never come across the idea of keeping a memory box before, but it sounds like a great idea! I'll be sure to do that some time. And I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with depression. It must be very difficult. I don't believe I have eve rexperienced depression... I would really like to talk about this with you through PM, if that's okay with you ^^ If it would make you uncomfortable then I totally understand! But I'm curious about this... I always hear of people being depressed, especially on Teenhelp, and I would really like to be able to help.

    Take care!
